Drake has issued a statement regarding the New York club brawl in the wee hours of Thursday morning between his entourage and Chris Brown’s crew.

The melee at W.i.P. left Brown with a gash on his chin and at least one member of his entourage — bodyguard Big Pat — in the hospital.

Drake’s rep’s statement reads: “Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”

UPDATE — Footage has surfaced of Drake, Brown and others leaving the scene of the brawl.

    It is full of nonsense, anybody can see it was a total set-up. What a stupid way for both of them to get publicity. And what is really the capper on this is having somebody all set to record the whole thing. Seems like they should have been smarter about how to pull this off. The only thing they accomplished is createing a lot of anger among people that support them. It is not right for either of them to treat their fans like idiots. Shame on both of them.

    did no one else simply skip to the part of the video where they show the exiting club scene? I certainly wasn’t interested in what the “poster” of the video had to say, and now I’m glad I didn’t and wish I hadn’t read some of these comments.
