Drake OVO Fest After-Party In Toronto Ends With Two People Shot Dead
Drake’s after-party for his annual OVO Fest in Toronto was marred when a man and a woman were shot dead at the cub Muzik. It’s unclear whether Drake was still in the club when bullets were fired at 3:30 a.m. Two other men and a woman were also injured in the early morning shooting.
Here’s what Gossip Cop knows. A couple of people at the party were fired at by the bar inside Muzik before the shooting poured out into the nearby streets. One man in his twenties or thirties died from a gunshot on the club’s outdoor space. The second fatality, a woman in her twenties or thirties, died on the way to the hospital
The three other injured people were rushed to local hospitals, while the police believe there could be more gunshot victims who, for whatever reason, have not sought medical treatment.
Toronto Police Superintendent Frank Bergen said, “What occurred originally in the bar area had spilled out into the streets so… we do have three separate crimes scenes.” The gunman, for whom there are currently no details, seemingly got away.
Last year, a man was also wounded but survived after being shot at the OVO Fest after-party at Muzik. Neither Drake nor a rep for the singer has commented on the shooting at the music festival’s official after-party. Gossip Cop will update as more information emerges.
