Drake, Taylor Swift Stories Made Up By HollywoodLife
As Gossip Cop reported, Swift was one of many stars who attended Drake’s birthday party last Sunday. The following day, HollywoodLife speculated the two were dating, claiming they openly flirted at the bash. They did not, though, and Gossip Cop was assured the performers are “just friends.”
But that didn’t stop HollywoodLies from spending the last few days crafting a false narrative. There was a story about Rihanna warning Swift to stay away from Drake. And one about Tom Hiddleston’s supposedly “shocked” reaction to the dating rumors. These were fabricated.
Gossip Cop has since learned other related stories on the subject from the webloid were fabricated, too. On Friday evening, HollywoodLies posted two more articles, one about Drake being “enamored” with Swift, and the other about his parents loving the songstress, but feeling their son wasn’t “mature” enough to date her. A source close to the rapper, however, exclusively tells Gossip Cop that both tales are “completely untrue.”
And now on Saturday, the bad blog is running another “exclusive” about how Drake and Swift are loving the rumors, even though they know there’s nothing going on between them. This was made up just like all the others. And HollywoodLies started it all with that very first story, one that is now completely contradicted by its last.
The site starts rumors, pretends to have “exclusives,” flip-flops and generally goes against the key tenets of journalism. Gossip Cop has already confirmed the outlet makes up stories about not just Swift, but also Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Brad Pitt, Selena Gomez and others. Now we can add Drake to the list, too.
