Drake Bell Released From Jail Early For Good Behavior
Drake Bell was released from jail on Saturday, fewer than two days into his 96-hour sentence, Gossip Cop has learned. As we previously reported, the actor-singer entered jail in the early hours of Friday morning for his second DUI, and by late Saturday afternoon, we’re told, he was released for good behavior.
As part of his plea deal, which initially only got him a sentence of four days behind bars in Los Angeles County Jail, Bell also agreed to four years of probation and having to take an alcohol education program. He landed in legal trouble in December 2015 when cops pulled Bell over for driving erratically and speeding in Glendale, California. After the police smelled booze in his car, the actor was given a field sobriety test, which he failed. And following his refusal to take a Breathalyzer test, Bell was arrested for drunk driving.
The former child star was initially booked for suspicion of driving under the influence, and in early January 2016, Bell was formally charged with misdemeanor DUI. This was actually Bell’s second offense. He was convicted of a DUI back in 2009. Bell has not commented on social media since his early release.
