ABC is evicting “Don’t Trust the B– in Apartment 23.”

On Tuesday, the network announced that it had pulled the show from its lineup, filling this week’s time slot with the two-hour premiere of “The Taste.”

James Van Der Beek, who plays himself on the comedy series, tweeted, “Sad to say ABC has pulled #Apt23 and will not be airing the 8 remaining episodes any time soon. Translation: we’ve basically been cancelled.”

Krysten Ritter also reacted to the news on Twitter, writing, “My beloved fans, sad to confirm that it is true. Don’t Trust the B—#apt23 has been cancelled. thank you so much for your support i love u.”

This is the show’s second season.

    So “The Neighbors” remains on the air, but a quality (and funny!!) show like Apt. 23 gets the boot? Are the ratings really that dissimilar?

    I liked the episode where they adopted a teenager. That was an interesting character dynamic. Sad it only lasted for one episode. I myself only lasted a few episodes after that.

    LOVE this show!!! What is the deal??? Stop cancelling good shows and at least release the remaining episodes online or something for the fans….I refuse to watch The Taste.

    wait. so a funny and scripted show was cancelled and replaced by a Reality TV show about chefs making concoctions that judges only try for one bite? why am i bothering trying to write movies or TV shows? I can come up with a Reality TV show and have that made within five minutes!! Seriously. I’m in my 20s and I’m yearning for my past before good shows whether short or long-term were cancelled to make room for Reality TV shows. Damn. I missed one episode this season because they did that stupid Sunday and Tuesday airings and I was at work. Guess I won’t catch that rerun.

    Yeah, I’m disappointed. I can live without it, but I liked it. It was different and I enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed JVDB’s parody of himself. Hilarious. I wish they’d at least air the last 8 episodes. I’m about at the point where I’m not going to even bother watching any ABC shows at all. They keep cancelling them out from under us. Screw the fans, anyway.
