Donnie Wahlberg Endorses Carly Fiorina For President — SEE TWEET!
Donnie Wahlberg can see a woman in the White House, but it’s not Hillary Clinton who is getting his vote for president.
The “Blue Bloods” star and New Kids On The Block member has apparently endorsed Carly Fiorina. “Watching @CarlyFiorina on #MeetThePress,” Wahlberg tweeted on Sunday. “She is a strong human being and a strong candidate for President in 2016!”
Fiorina is one of the 17 GOP candidates seeking the Republican nomination for president. The former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, she previously served as an advisor for John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. In 2010, she ran for the Senate in California, but lost to Barbara Boxer, the Democratic incumbent.
Fiorina declared her candidacy for president in May, and stood out from the pack during the first GOP debate earlier this month. As Gossip Cop reported, the contender was one of several candidates relegated to an afternoon debate before the primetime showcase with Donald Trump and other leading candidates. But Fiorina managed to emerge from the showdown as the afternoon’s clear victor.
She has not responded to Wahlberg’s tweet in any way, nor has she shown any indication that she’ll try to use celebrity ties to win the nomination. In contrast, Clinton has done everything from tweeting about One Direction and Beyoncé to taking a selfie with Kim Kardashian, in addition to participating in several star-studded fundraisers, as Gossip Cop has noted.
