Donald Trump couldn’t officially participate in Tuesday’s Democratic presidential debate, so he did the next best thing. The Republican candidate live-tweeted his reactions.

As Gossip Cop reported, Trump has squared off with other Republican contenders in two GOP debates so far. Tuesday’s event at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas marked the first time the Democratic hopefuls, including Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, were coming face to face. And, well, Trump couldn’t help but remind everyone that he’s part of the 2016 election race, too.

Hours before the proceedings kicked off, Trump announced on Twitter, “At the request of many, and even though I expect it to be a very boring two hours, I will be covering the Democrat Debate live on twitter!” Clinton, for one, welcomed the commentary. The former First Lady responded using one of her rival’s buzzwords, “.@realDonaldTrump Glad you’ll be watching. It’s going to be ‘huge.'”

With minutes until show time, Trump predicted, “Should be interesting but too bad the three guys at《1% will be taking up so much time – but who knows, maybe a star will be born (unlikely).” He then said right before the debate, “We will all have fun and hopefully learn something tonight. I will shoot straight and call it as I see it, both the good and the bad. Enjoy!”

Once the debate got underway, Trump began lobbing zingers. “Putin is not feeling too nervous or scared. #DemDebate,” was Trump’s first remark. Next, he said of Clinton, “The trade deal is a disaster, she was always for it! #DemDebate.” Of former Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chafee, Trump tweeted, “Can anyone imagine Chafee as president? No way.”

About Maryland governor Marton O’Malley, Trump expressed he “has very little chance.” He then asked, “Who is winning the debate so far (just last name)? #DemDebate.” Mostly, Trump felt, “All are very scripted and rehearsed, two (at least) should not be on the stage.” Trump further said, “The hardest thing Clinton has to do is defend her bad decision making including Iraq vote, e-mails etc.”

Trump was not surprisingly unimpressed. He stated pointblank, “Sorry, there is no STAR on the stage tonight!” He also pointed out, “Sanders said only black lives matter – wow! Hillary did not answer question!”

Returning to one of his favorite topics, during the debate Trump wrote, “Notice that illegal immigrants will be given ObamaCare and free college tuition but nothing has been mentioned about our VETERANS #DemDebate.” He later tweeted, “Wow, I am giving a speech on OAN. Much more exciting than debate!”
