Donald Trump: “Incredible Things In Store” For “SNL”
Donald Trump is hosting “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, and he spent the hours before “SNL” hyping his appearance.
As Gossip Cop reported, it was announced last month that Trump would serve as the host of the November 7 broadcast. This will mark his second time hosting the NBC series. He’ll be joined by Sia as the musical guest.
On Saturday afternoon, the presidential candidate gave a vague teaser of what was to come. “‘Saturday Night Live’ has some incredible things in store tonight,” he tweeted. “The great thing about playing myself is that it will be authentic! Enjoy.”
He went on to write, “They are saying that tickets to tonight’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ are the hardest to get in the history of this great show! Off to a good start!” Trump also retweeted a number of messages from followers who expressed their excitement for the broadcast.
As Gossip Cop has noted, some Hispanic groups, including a number of Latino stars, have slammed NBC for giving Trump the gig. One supporter, however, suggested to the mogul that he “use ‘SNL’ to tell Hispanics you are for them, you want them to have jobs and be here legally.” Trump replied, “Great idea!”
Other presidential candidates who have appeared on “SNL” include John McCain, Al Gore, and current contender Chris Christie, as well as Hillary Clinton and President Obama. And no matter where you stand on the political aisle, Trump’s turn will no doubt make history. Gossip Cop will have full coverage, so stay tuned.
