Donald Trump: Alec Baldwin “Stinks” As Me On ‘SNL’
Donald Trump thinks Alec Baldwin’s impression “stinks.” The GOP presidential candidate sounded off early Sunday morning about Baldwin’s impersonation of him on “SNL,” and how the late-night sketch comedy show did a “hit job” on him in the show’s open as part of the media’s effort at “rigging [the] election.”
Trump tweeted around eight hours after “Saturday Night Live” kicked off its latest show with a spoof of last Sunday’s second presidential debate from Washington University in St. Louis. The Republican presidential nominee blasted the media’s coverage of him in a series of Twitter messages. About the comedy program, Trump wrote, “Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me,” adding, “Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!” Baldwin, for his part, retweeted Trump’s slam of him.
As Gossip Cop reported on Saturday, “SNL” mocked Trump and Hillary Clinton’s second presidential debate by spoofing how the two candidates didn’t shake each other’s hands at the beginning of the Town Hall insult-fest, and the way the Republican candidate walked around his opponent while she spoke. Also mocked in the cold open were Trump’s vulgar conversation with Billy Bush that was leaked, his calling for the Democrats’ nominee to be thrown in jail, Bill Clinton’s alleged affairs, and the individuals at the debate posing questions, most notably Ken Bone.
While many think Baldwin’s impression, including his look, demeanor and speech pattern are spot-on, clearly Trump is not impressed. Check out the video below and decide whether you think Baldwin’s portrayal “stinks,” as stated by Trump.
