Dina Lohan Shares Black Eye Photos, Says Abuse Caused Lindsay Problems

Lindsay Lohan’s mom is attempting to shed some new light on her daughter’s many problems.

In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” Dina Lohan says Lindsay is so troubled these days because she witnessed her mom allegedly being abused by Michael Lohan when she was a kid.

Providing old photos of her holding a baby while sporting a black eye, Dina tells the show, “I will tell my story… about abuse and how I’ve survived it and how my children have survived it. It shed some light on my children’s behavior, having to witness it.”

Michael adamantly denies the abuse allegations, saying, “[Dina] hit me with an ice tray, and I turned around and swung… I didn’t punch her. I didn’t do anything deliberately to attack her. I swung out of reflex… she’s twisting everything.”

    Why can’t her parents stay out of the press?? She has at least been in movies, and all “troubled” stars are in the news but what have these two given the entertainment industry besides the train wreck herself? I am so sick of seeing something everyday about the lohans. She needs professional help. And until she gets it she will continue on the path she has been on for several years. There is only so long you can blame your actions on our childhood. And it’s not all The fathers fault if he did abuse her, Dina is the one that chose to keep having babies with him and keep him around until Lindsey was older. Pathetic family

    Dina, that’s where YOU should have done something as a mother and a woman.

    She’s sort of taking the blame for Lindsay’s problems, but not really. This entire family is screwed up and just needs to stay out of the spotlight for good.

    Regina, how is the entire family screwed up. I rarely if ever hear anything about the other kids, are they not part of the entire family? Where is their arrest records and stories of drug usage, rehab and public misbehavior? As I see it, only 3 are in the spotlight, not 6 of them.

    Michael Lohan not only beat Dina on a regular basis, he also raped her, she has the proof. Its time for people to open their eyes about Michael Lohan. Furthermore, Dina isn’t the only woman he raped. SC in 1983.

    While I fully believe — based on arrests & media attention — that Michael Lohan abused his family — both physically & emotionally — they still have choices. My mother was physically abused by my biological father. She put up with it until he threatened us kids. Then she fled him to protect us. My mother was abused but she has always been a very loving mother. While things like that stick with us we still can make choices. Otherwise it just becomes an excuse for our behavior.

    Sorry Lindsay was screwed over the minute she was born into this family. She looked like she was going to have a bright future with some of her past films, but like too many child stars she’s struggling big time. Her parents aren’t helping the situation by trying to latch onto her like leeches. The only way they can even begin to make this right is to stop trying to be selfish, get her private help, and be there as ears not as therapist or as her PR.
