Dennis Rodman Slammed For Supporting Hulk Hogan And Donald Trump
Dennis Rodman is being slammed online for tweeting his support for both Hulk Hogan and Donald Trump. As Gossip Cop reported, the controversial former basketball player took to Twitter on Friday to ask celebrities to rally behind Hogan after the wrestler came under fire for repeatedly using the N-word during his sex tape with Heather Clem. “I’ve known @HulkHogan for 25 years. There isn’t a racist bone in that mans body,” wrote Rodman, adding in a second tweet, “Lets lend our support to the Hulkster @HulkHogan who most certainly is not a racist @Scottiepippen @MagicJohnson @Shaq @MikeTyson.”
As if Rodman didn’t tick off enough people on Twitter, he came back a few hours later to praise Trump, who’s faced a mountain of criticism for bashing Mexican immigrants during his presidential candidacy speech. Rodman tweeted, “@realDonaldTrump has been a great friend for many years. We don’t need another politician, we need a businessman like Mr. Trump! Trump 2016.”
While Trump thanked Rodman for his support, other Twitter users immediately slammed the former NBA star for his posts. A Twitter user by the name of “Cresean” wrote, “Somebody sedate Dennis Rodman… PLEASE!” Another Twitter account holder with the handle “faobobindc” tweeted, “@dennisrodman @realDonaldTrump and of course please keep Dennis Rodman out of our country… he is a traitor and a fool.” And “DubOnDaBeatz” noted, “Dennis Rodman that hair dye has seeped into your brain I see.”
Referencing Rodman’s close friendship with North Korea leader Kim Jong-un, a user named “Kennagq” tweeted, “When Dennis Rodman who is pals with one of the worlds worst dictators tells you to show support to someone, do the EXACT opposite.” And a user with the handle “Smith_RFKennedy” simply expressed, “Oh, god. Why is Dennis Rodman trending?… I’m afraid to look.”
