Dennis Rodman Could Land In Jail For Hit-And-Run
Dennis Rodman has just been charged with four criminal counts, including hit-and-run and giving the police false information, and could land in jail for two years, Gossip Cop has confirmed. As we previously reported, in the early morning hours of July 20, Rodman allegedly drove an SUV north in a southbound lane of Interstate 5 in Santa Ana, California. It resulted in another car crashing into a divider to avoid Rodman’s oncoming SUV. The NBA star then fled the scene after the other driver called 911.
On Monday, Rodman was slapped with four charges by the Orange County District Attorney. Gossip Cop is told he was charged with one count of hit and run with property damage, one count of giving false information to investigating officers, one count of driving without a valid license, and one count of driving across a dividing section. We’re also told Rodman is set to be arraigned on January 20, 2017 in Santa Ana.
As Gossip Cop reported at the time, before allegedly causing the crash, Rodman had been in a karaoke bar. The former basketball star was arrested in 1999 for DUI and again in 2003. He pleaded “guilty” the first time around and “no contest” for his second offense. While alcohol was not listed as a factor in this case, possibly because Rodman left the scene of the accident, he has had a problems with booze over the years, and even appeared on “Celebrity Rehab” and “Sober House.” Rodman was back in rehab as recent as 2014.
