Demi Lovato Takes Twitter “Break”

Demi Lovato is leaving Twitter – for a while, anyway.

“Can’t please everyone,” she wrote on Saturday, before announcing, “Twitter break. It’s for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway… BYE!”

And just like that, she was gone.

In recent months, Lovato has used Twitter to express strong opinions about everything from religion to the Disney Channel’s decision to make a joke about eating disorders.

She has 5.6 million followers on the platform.

In October 2010, Lovato suspended her Twitter account shortly before entering treatment for “emotional and physical issues.”
