Demi Lovato and Ryan Phillippe are romantically linked in a new report.

“She’s 18. He’s 36. But the laws of celebrity attraction knew no boundaries when it came to Demi Lovato secretly connecting with her most recent boyfriend,” claims an E! Online exclusive.

According to the site, she and Phillippe have been “quietly dating” over the last couple of months.

Whoa… what?!

A so-called “source” for E! claims it was “really hot and heavy for a while,” but cooled off as Phillippe’s ex Alexis Knapp‘s welcomed a baby. The relationship also supposedly slowed down given Lovato’s professional commitments around the launch of “Skyscraper.”

Hold on.

E! posts an out-of-absolutely-nowhere item claiming Lovato and Phillippe have been together for months, only to cop out by saying things are “slowing” down?

A source close to Phillippe tells Gossip Cop the story is “not true,” and that he’s “totally single,” and an insider for Lovato says the same.

The hookup is apparently so “secret,” not even Lovato or Phillippe knows about it!
