Demi Lovato Dad’s Claim He Spoke to Her in Rehab is Phone-y

“EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Demi Lovato Calls Her Dad From Rehab,” reads a headline on RadarOnline.
The generally solid site then reports that Lovato “is doing well according to her father Patrick Lovato, who recently spoke to the young star over the phone.”
In the interview Patrick Lovato gave to RadarOnline, the estranged father of the performer says, “Demi’s doing great, she’s such a strong girl.”
He even claims, “She told me she loved me, she really loves her daddy… She told me she’s getting better.”
At one point during his interview with the site, Patrick Lovato says, “Bless [Demi’s] heart. She’s always been an honest person, what can I say?”
For starters, he can say that he’s not being entirely honest, and that he did NOT speak to his daughter in rehab.
A source close to the singer-actress tells Gossip Cop that Patrick’s claim about speaking to Demi in rehab is “untrue,” and feels RadarOnline got “suckered.”
It’s bad enough she can’t quietly work on her issues, but for her own father to create more is unconscionable.
