Demi Lovato Leaves “Sonny with a Chance” Disney Show

Demi Lovato is leaving “Sonny with a Chance.”
The young star has opted out of her Disney Channel show to focus on her health and recovery, Gossip Cop confirms.
The actress entered treatment for “physical and emotional issues” last October. She returned home in January.
“We respect Demi’s decision to focus full-time on her music and not immediately return to her acting career,” said Disney in a statement.
“She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity.”
Disney will reinvent the series as a sketch comedy show called “So Random!” The new version will debut in June.
Lovato will continue to record under the company’s Hollywood Records label.
