Demi Lovato opens up about Joe Jonas and her addiction struggles in Giuliana Rancic’s new E! special, “Beyond Candid With Giuliana.” Check out the video below!

The “Heart Attack” singer reveals that Jonas called her before he published his New York magazine essay, which included an anecdote about smoking weed for the first time with Lovato and Miley Cyrus.

She tells Rancic, “He had warned me a couple of days before… [but] I don’t even remember [smoking] because clearly, I was chillin’.”

Lovato says after Jonas’ article went viral, “I called him and I was like, ‘Relax. We’re good. Just don’t be so stupid next time.'”

The pop star adds that she told her ex-boyfriend, “I love you, it’s all good. We’re always going to be friends.”

As for her previous addiction battles, Lovato offers, “I don’t place any of the blame on anybody else except for really myself… I don’t think anybody can save your life except for yourself.”
