Demi Lovato visited with her old pal Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” today to talk about her new album and the path back from personal crisis.

The singer has battled eating disorders, cutting and other issues to become a role model for girls coping with celebrity culture’s cookie-cutter ideals of beauty.

“All that I want to do in this world is to inspire people and help people,” Lovato tells Roberts.

She then performed her hit single “Skyscraper.”
