Demi Lovato “Cool For The Summer” Video
Demi Lovato’s steamy “Cool For The Summer” music video premiered on Thursday. Watch below!
The clip starts out with Lovato and her gal pals all dressed up for a night on the town as they cruise around jamming to the sexually-suggestive track. They eventually arrived at a rave-like party and let loose. Interspersed are shots of Lovato writhing around on a bed, and scenes of people hooking up.
There’s also a plug for Lovato’s skincare line, fun with foam and feathers, and a number of sexy outfits. Some of the clothing seem to be the same risqué bathing suits Lovato has worn to her “Cool For the Summer” pool parties, looks she later defended by saying she was “showing more skin because I worked hard for this body.” Lovato had been teasing the video’s release all week, and when it was finally available online, the singer tweeted, “#COOLFORTHESUMMER B*TCHES,” along with some sunglasses-wearing smiley emojis.
As Gossip Cop reported, “Cool For The Summer” quickly went to number one on iTunes shortly after it debuted earlier this month. The song, however, also faced a backlash over accusations it lyrically ripped off Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl,” and sounded too much like Jessie J’s “Domino.” In response to the Perry claim, Lovato tweeted, “Sounds nothing like it and with all the advances we’ve made in the LGBT community I think more than one female artist can kiss a girl and like it.”
