I never read the books, and I have not yet seen the Swedish version, but went to see Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and LOVED it. I see Academy Award nomination, if not win, for Rooney Mara, the actress who played Lisbeth. I fell in love with that character. I’m so glad I didn’t let the disappointing box office results sway me into thinking it wasn’t worth my time. I believe the numbers should pick up after the Christmas holidays. I hope. It had some dark moments and that may have “frightened” some from seeing it. I can’t wait for the sequels. Disclosure: I’m 50ish. Quite a few people in their 20′s and 30′s. I’m wondering where the older audience went?

Replying to myself, we went to see Mission Impossible too. It was good. But I wouldn’t go see it again, while Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I definitely would see again.
