Deal “likely” to be done today for Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien

Sources from both Jay Leno‘s camp and Conan O’Brien‘s camp tell Gossip Cop that a “Tonight Show” deal is “likely” to be completed today, and that a joint announcement will be sent out immediately afterwards.
One Leno insider says that, barring a snag, “Jay is going to address the situation on his show tonight.”
An O’Brien source confirms that the deal should be done later today, and adds that one of the last sticking points was that O’Brien wanted to make sure NBC took care of his staffers, many of whom uprooted their lives in New York to move to the West Coast.
While the O’Brien source was not at liberty to disclose certain details of the settlement, we hear the late night host will receive a hefty, multimillion dollar exit package, and that he will be free to do another show, but only after a number of months have passed.
It’s likely that this will be O’Brien’s final week as host.
