General David Petraeus is Barbara Walters’ “Most Fascinating Person of 2012.”

The veteran journalist made the big reveal on her annual TV special, which aired Wednesday on ABC.

“This is about military honor combining with sex and lies in the digital age,” Walters said, referring to the cheating scandal that engulfed the former CIA director earlier this year.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, One Direction, Ben Affleck and Fifty Shades of Grey author E L James also made it into this year’s list.

Prince Harry, Honey Boo Boo, Seth MacFarlane, Hilary Clinton, Governor Chris Christie and Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas made the cut as well.
