David Duchovny And Gillian Anderson Did NOT Go On Secret “Romantic Getaway,” Despite Report
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson did not go on a secret “romantic beach getaway,” despite a completely made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told it’s “completely false.”
Duchovny and Anderson reunited last year to film a six-episode reboot of their hit sci-fi show “The X-Files.” And now, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the co-stars supposedly “rekindled the love they once shared” while on set. Only, both Duchovny and Anderson have gone on the record several times to debunk dating rumors, insisting that their relationship has always been purely professional.
The webloid, however, now claims that not only are the co-stars hooking up “again,” but they also allegedly “met up for a secret beach getaway” earlier this month. Naturally, CDL has no source to backup its claims, nor any information about the location of this supposed “beach getaway.” Instead, the site vaguely references a “secluded bed and breakfast in a little town on the coast.”
Still, Gossip Cop fact-checks everything, and we checked in with a source close to Anderson. We’re exclusively assured that the rumor of a “romantic beach getaway” between Duchovny and Anderson is “completely false.” We’re also told that Anderson has been in Belfast, Ireland hard at work shooting her TV series “The Fall.” Additionally, the “X-Files” co-stars have never dated, nor are they currently seeing each other.
