In Touch Does NOT Score with David Beckham “Cheating” Story

Truth rating: 0

“Beckham Caught Cheating: The Ultimate Betrayal,” screams the cover of In Touch, which alleges that David Beckham cheated on wife Victoria by having an “affair with a $10,000-a-night hooker.”

The magazine quotes a former prostitute named Irma Nici, who “claims she’s slept with the world’s most famous soccer star five times and spills every dirty detail of their affair.”

Nici insists she and Beckham were set up by a mutual friend, and had a rendezvous at a New York City hotel after agreeing upon a fee in exchange for sex.

She adds that Beckham even welcomed her suggestion to add a third player to their, um, party. Nici claims the two met up once more in London and even tried to hook up another time, but distance kept them apart.

So when did this all supposedly take place?

In 2007.

And she’s just coming forward now?

Yep.

Not surprisingly, In Touch‘s story has no accuracy beyond spelling a few names correctly.

A source close to Beckham tells Gossip Cop that Nici’s claims are “bulls**t,” because the soccer star was in a London hospital at the time of the alleged U.K. tryst.

Futhermore, in a statement given to Gossip Cop, a rep for Beckham slams In Touch‘s report, saying, “The allegations that have been made are completely untrue and totally ridiculous as the magazine was clearly told before publication.”

“Sadly,” the rep adds, “we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it. We are taking legal action against the magazine.”

Seems the only “betrayal” here is the one between In Touch and its readers.
