David Arquette and Girlfriend Split Up

David Arquette is back on the market.

The actor announced on Twitter late Tuesday that he and girlfriend Christina McLarty have split.

“Sadly I’m single again,” Arquette wrote, explaining, “A long distance relationship proved to be too difficult.”

McLarty, a reporter for “Entertainment Tonight,” is based in New York, while he lives in Los Angeles.

The couple started dating last summer.

Arquette is still legally wed to his “Scream” co-star Courteney Cox, with whom he shares a daughter.
