Dave Moisan “The Voice” Audition Video: Watch “Sex And Candy” Performance!
Dave Moisan earned the first four-chair turn of “The Voice” season 11 on Monday’s premiere. Check out the video below!
Before his blind audition, the medical device salesman revealed he started singing in college. It wasn’t until meeting Adam Levine backstage at a Maroon 5 concert that Moisan realized he could pursue this professionally. And so, he formed “The Dave Moisan Band” with his wife singing background vocals.
And with his unique, falsetto-fueled take on “Sex And Candy,” he actually sounded a lot like Levine, which all the coaches noted. “I just felt instantly connected, and I want you, and I need you, and you’re the greatest,” Levine told him. But when he had no recollection of meeting him years prior, new coach Miley Cyrus, told Moisan, “I would always remember you.”
Blake Shelton told Moisan, “You’re incredible. I don’t know what else I can say knowing you’re in Adam’s fan club.” And Cyrus further said, “I don’t think we should always go with the most obvious. In this world, there’s already Adam Levine.” But Levine insisted he would make Moisan not another version of himself, but “you’re version of you,” and even insisted, “I’m not letting you go.”
Enter the other new coach, Alicia Keys, who told Moisan, “I would be a perfect coach for you. I have the knack of bringing that soulful experience into the real world.” She and Shelton also encouraged him to “break the mold.” And he did… by choosing Keys as his coach! Watch below.
