Dave Chappelle: Hillary Clinton Leaked Donald Trump “Access Hollywood” Tape
As Gossip Cop reported, the tape in question featured Trump talking lewdly about women with Billy Bush, including how he gropes females without consent. The Republican nominee was largely ripped over the remarks. But while speaking at The Cutting Room in New York City, Chappelle put the blame on Clinton and the media.
“What I heard on that tape was gross. But the way I got to hear it was even more gross. You know that came directly from Hillary,” Chappelle said, going on to argue that Trump’s comments weren’t an admission of sexual assault, but just the opposite. “He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it.’ That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it,” he said.
The comic praised Trump, whom he called the “most gangsta candidate ever,” for staying strong in the aftermath of the tape’s release, and indicated he had mixed feelings on voting for Clinton. “I’m still going to go for it. But I wish she hadn’t done that thing,” Chappelle is quoted as saying, according to The Observer. And, he reportedly said, casting his early ballot for her “didn’t feel good.”
He further said about the Democratic candidate, “She’s going to be on a coin someday. And her behavior has not been coin-worthy. She’s not right and we all know she’s not right.” Chappelle is slated to host “Saturday Night Live” on November 12, just days after the presidential election. It will mark his first hosting gig on the show, which has satirized Trump and Clinton’s controversial campaigns over the last few weeks.
