The Dark Knight Rises Beats Wimpy Kid & Total Recall (UPDATED)

BOX OFFICEFor the third straight weekend, The Dark Knight Rises has beat the box office competition.
Christian Bale’s final Batman turn earned $36.4 million, and held off the newly opened Total Recall remake, which came in second with $26 million.
Securing third was Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3, with $14.7 million in ticket sales.
Ice Age 4 and The Watch finished in fourth and fifth places, with $8.4 million and $6.4 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Ted, ($5.5 million), Step Up Revolution ($5.2 million), The Amazing Spider-Man ($4.3 million), Brave ($2.9 million) and Magic Mike ($1.4 million).
