Darby Walker “The Voice” Audition Video: Watch Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys Duets!
Darby Walker sang duets with Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys on “The Voice” on Tuesday. Check out the video below!
Before her Blind Audition, the 17-year-old revealed she was obsessed with Keys’ “No One” when she was younger. But Cyrus was the first to be won over by the contestant’s sultry voice. Walker’s performance of the Florence + the Machine version of “Stand By Me” led Cyrus to turn around first, followed by Keys and then Blake Shelton.
“I want you on my team so bad, and I feel like our voices have a similar vibe,” Cyrus said afterward. But when Shelton questioned how she could already know that they have the same taste in music, the pop star exclaimed, “I want to sing with her!” And with that, Cyrus went on stage, and she and Walker sang “Jolene.”
Cyrus amusingly whispered afterward, “You have to pick me.” But she didn’t have it in the bag yet. After Walker noted her “10-year-old self would be freaking out right now,” Keys started singing “No One.” Soon enough, she was on stage with Walker, too.
At that point, Shelton had all but given up, and Cyrus admitted “I won’t be hurt if it’s Alicia. I’ll be sad if you pick Blake.” In the end, though… Cyrus won! Walker adorably confessed afterward, “I just sang with Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys and I’m still processing that that just happened.” Watch below!
