CLAIM: Danny DeVito “Cheated” on Rhea Perlman with Movie Extra

Danny DeVito allegedly ”had a reputation of cheating with extras on the set of his films,” claims RadarOnline, which says the actor’s split from wife Rhea Perlman was the result of his indiscretions.

The webloid has been trying — and failing — to explain the couple’s separation by linking DeVito to other women, and now the site is desperately reaching even further into the past to create the appearance of scandal.

According to RadarOnline, an anonymous “production crew member” from Devito’s 1992 movie Hoffa claims the star “romanced a young blonde extra and the two would frequently get intimate in his limousine after he showered her with empty promises of making her famous.”

“It was kind of pathetic because she was very young and beautiful and obviously just having sex with him in hopes that he’d make her a star,” the so-called “insider” tells RadarOnline.

The outlet’s source insists it was “painfully obvious” to everyone what was going on, and that DeVito was “preying on vulnerable young girls like that.”

RadarOnline says Perlman “eventually tired of Danny’s on-set indiscretions and after 10 years on the rocks, finally gave him the boot.”

Uh-huh.

So to review the “evidence” — DeVito allegedly had dalliance with an extra on a movie 20 years ago, Perlman and everyone else supposedly knew about it, and two decades later their marriage abruptly blew up?

This makes no sense.

If DeVito had decades’ worth of transgressions on movie sets, as RadarOnline alleges, why haven’t any women come forward?

And if a new “indiscretion” actually occurred (pushing Perlman to boot DeVito after all this time), why would the site not offer anything about that fling?

Instead, we have an anonymous source’s supposed memories of an unnamed woman from the early 1990s.

A rep for DeVito and Perlman tells Gossip Cop the site’s latest report is “ridiculous,” noting “phantom accusations ring hollow.”
