Daniel Radcliffe On Losing Virginity: First Time Was “Really Good”
Daniel Radcliffe opens up about his love life and sexual history.
“I’m one of the few people who seem to have had a really good first time,” reveals the actor about losing his virginity in a new interview with Elle.
He shares, “It was with somebody I’d gotten to know well. I’m happy to say I’ve had a lot better sex since then, but it wasn’t as horrendously embarrassing as a lot of other people’s were — like my friend who got drunk and did it with a stranger under a bridge.”
Radcliffe, who has struggled with alcohol in the past, also admits that sobering up improved his sex life.
“For some people sex might be better drunk, but for me — and the person I’m doing it with — it’s much better sober,” he says.
As for his relationship with girlfriend Erin Darke, Radcliffe denies rumors they’re engaged, and says he goes “back and forth” on the idea of marriage.
“It seems like the most romantic thing you can do is stand up in front of all your friends and say that you love this person,” says Radcliffe, adding, “At the same time, the amount of stress that goes with a wedding…. I don’t know. I do think of it as being in my future at some point.”
Overall, the former Harry Potter star says, “I’ve always generally enjoyed being in relationships, more often than being single.”
Radcliffe also reveals his celebrity crush is Kirsten Dunst, explaining, “The kiss in ‘Spider-Man’ was enough for a lot of young men.”
