‘Dancing With The Stars’: Who Will Be First Eliminated Celebrities?
“Dancing with the Stars” will eliminate its first two contestants of the season this week. One celebrity couple will be sent home during Monday night’s two-hour live show. Another pair will leave the ballroom on Tuesday. Bindi Irwin and Nick Carter, who tied for the highest score from the judges (24 out of 30) on the September 14 premiere, appear to be safe. For almost everyone else, its time to get nervous. See who Gossip Cop predicts will be gone.
Eliminations are determined by combining the judges scores with America’s vote. After last week’s premiere, reality star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, celebrity chef Paula Deen, Oscar-winner Gary Busey, and R&B singer Chaka Khan had the four lowest scores and are most likely to face the chopping block.
Zolciak-Bierman danced a salsa with Tony Dovolani and was frankly horrible. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star earned the night’s lowest score, a mere 12 points, as well as scathing critique from the judges. “This dance would be grounds for divorce,” Bruno Tonioli declared, adding, “You have got all of that on display and you can do nothing with it!”
Deen admitted she was “quite nervous” quickstepping with Louis Van Amstel. And it showed. “I had white underwear when I started, but it probably ain’t white no more,” she joked when it came time to face the judges. Their performance earned only 15 points. Still, Carrie Ann Inaba said, “I actually see a lot of potential with you.”
Busey stole the show with his kooky moves and unpredictable commentary. His cha-cha with Anna Trebunskaya resembled something you would see from a drunk uncle at a wedding. “We don’t want you to stop,” Julianne Hough exclaimed. “When we watch, we want to be entertained. I don’t know how great of a cha cha that was, but we were entertained.”
The judges weren’t so kind to Khan, a life-long stage performer, who danced the cha cha to one of her own songs with Keo Motsepe. “You were having so much fun that sometimes you forgot the choreography,” noted Inaba.
So, who will get the axe? Gossip Cop believes America will want to see what kind of crazy Busey brings next, so he’ll be safe. We also suspect Deen has enough butter-loving fans to keep her in the competition for another week or two. The “Real Housewives” crowd will likely rally just this once to save Zolciak-Biermann before letter her get voted off. It seems Khan, who hasn’t had a hit in 30 years and is less known to younger viewers, is the most at risk.
Gossip Cop predicts Chaka Khan is eliminated Monday, with Kim Zolciak-Biermann gone on Tuesday. What do you think will be the first two contests eliminated on “Dancing With The Stars”?
