Dan Marino, the legendary Miami Dolphins quarterback and Hall of Famer, has sued the NFL over concussions. In papers filed in the District Court in Philadelphia, Marino and 14 other former players sued the league for head injuries they allegedly sustained.

Marino and the others join around 5,000 former football players (or their estates) who have sued the NFL. According to the complaint, Marino “sustained repetitive, traumatic sub-concussive and/or concussive head impacts during NFL games and/or practices.”

The court papers allege the NFL hid information about football-related brain injuries and misled its players. The NFL has repeatedly denied these claims. Marino is suing for unspecified damages. Earlier in the year, a proposed $765 million settlement that would’ve covered all the retired players who sued was rejected by a judge who felt the amount wasn’t enough.
