Damien And Adam Levine Duet On Elton John’s “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” On The Voice Finale (VIDEOS)
Damien and Adam Levine gave a powerful joint performance of Elton John’s “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” on part one of “The Voice” finale on Monday. It was one of three performances Damien wowed with as he fights to win season 7. Check out the videos below!
The finalist and his coach teamed up less than a week after Damien amazingly won the wild card to get an automatic ticket to the finale, even though he wasn’t part of the Top 3. Levine said before taking the stage that the John track is “one of my favorite songs ever.” He went on to call it the “most emotional, the most deep,” and “perfect” for Damien.
The two soared together, and happily embraced after their one-of-a-kind rendition. The performance followed Damien kicking off the finale solo with “A Song For You.” He performed later on in the finale once again, debuting an original song called “Soldier,” written by music hitmaker Max Martin. Damien’s emotional performance of the anthem prompted Levine to say, “This makes me the happiest coach I could ever be, win or lose, in the entire world.”
Check out all the performances, and the official “Soldier” music video, below! The finale will continue on Tuesday, where it will be announced whether Damien managed to beat his teammates Chris Jamison and Matt McAndrew, and Team Blake contestant Craig Wayne Boyd. Do you think Damien should win?
