Dalai Lama Weighs In On Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Divorce (VIDEO)
In an interview on Thursday morning with Piers Morgan on “Good Morning Britain,” the British journalist asked the Dalai Lama if “he was aware of the breaking news about Brangelina.” The spiritual leader, who didn’t readily seem to know about the impending divorce between Jolie and Pitt, expressed his concern and sorrow for the couple’s six children. The Dalai Lama told Morgan it was “sad.”
He noted that the “children come closer to their father or the mother… Sometimes it’s difficult.” The Dalai Lama added that it “may harm their deep experiences or psychological like that.” The subject of the famous couple’s split came after Morgan discussed discussed the concept of marriage, which the Dalai Lama joked was a “preparation for divorce.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on Monday. She noted they separated four days earlier, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Since the news emerged about their split, there have been numerous inaccurate reports about the circumstances that led to the breakup, and so Gossip Cop separated the fact from fiction about the Jolie and Pitt divorce.
While Gossip Cop is unaware of the Dalai Lama ever having met Jolie or Pitt, the actor starred in Seven Years In Tibet, in which he played Austrian Heinrich Harrer, who tutored the spiritual leader when he was a young boy during World War II.
