Daisy Ridley Caught In ‘Star Wars’ Set Feud Between Carrie Fisher And Laura Dern?
Daisy Ridley is NOT caught in the middle of a feud between Carrie Fisher and Laura Dern on the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
A so-called “source” tells Star, “It’s horrible on the set right now. Carrie can’t stand Laura because she’s new, she’s younger and she’s thinner.” The magazine’s dubious insider adds, “Laura isn’t the type to put up with any attitude, so the minute Carrie was rude, she gave it right back. They were catty with each other right from the first table read.”
The outlet then goes on to say that Ridley is attempting to deal with the purported tension between her two co-stars. “Daisy’s shocked by all the fighting and power-tripping between Carrie and Laura,” adds the tabloid’s questionable insider. “She’s trying hard not to get dragged into it, but the women always pressure her to take sides.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the film’s production, who exclusively assures us that Fisher and Dern actually get along well, and the magazine’s entire account of events is simply “not true.” Unfortunately, Gossip Cop isn’t surprised that the tabloid would try to concoct a fake fight between two actresses.
Star has a habit of making up phony celebrity feuds, and we have repeatedly called out the tabloid for falsely claiming co-stars were having on-set issues. We recently debunked the magazine’s bogus assertion that Charlize Theron and Michelle Rodriguez were feuding on the set of Fast 8. Shortly before that, Gossip Cop also busted the publication for wrongly reporting that Kristen Wiig and Leslie Jones were at war on the Ghostbusters set. These alleged feuds never occurred, and the same goes for this nonexistent Star Wars battle.
