I do not go around saying I am straight and I married a straight man, if you marry then do it but the world does not care one way or another if your partner is male of female! You’re missing the point of why this is important in the first place. In case you haven’t noticed, most people can’t marry other same gendered people. That’s a pretty big deal since there is a significant amount of gay people in the country. It’s socially and legally acceptable for straight women to marry straight men, no one’s going to stop them from doing that no matter where they live, but some people could potentially stop Cynthia, depending on where she wants to get married. Straight people have the right to publicize their weddings, shouldn’t gay people too especially since she CAN where she lives?
