Critics Choice Awards Winners 2016 December

(Critics Choice)

Sunday’s 22nd annual Critics’ Choice Awards honor the best in television and film. Gossip Cop has a full list of the winners below!

The 21st annual Critics’ Choice Awards took place in January, and broke new ground by combining the previously separate ceremonies for TV and movies into one event. The date for the unified awards has now been changed to December, making this the second Critics’ Choice Awards of 2016. Overseeing the ceremony again is T.J. Miller.

Of course, there’s a new crop of nominees to celebrate. On the film side of things, and overall, La La Land leads the pack with a whopping 12 nominations. That includes Best Picture, as well as Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director.

As for the small screen, while HBO is the network with the most nods (22!), the most nominated title is from FX. “The People v. O.J. Simpson” earned six nominations, although it won’t compete for Best Drama Series, as the anthology program is relegated to the Best TV Movie/Limited Series category. There’s also one fan-voted award: Most Bingeworthy Show.

And Ryan Reynolds, who is nominated for both Best Actor in an Action Movie and Best Actor in a Comedy Movie, will receive the Entertainer of the Year Award as part of the Critics’ Choice Awards’ new partnership with Entertainment Weekly. Aside from that, all winners are chosen by the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association.

The ceremony is slated to start at 8 p.m. Eastern. Gossip Cop will update the winners list as each category is announced. In the meantime, check out all the categories below!
