Craig Strickland’s Wife Helen Shares Wedding Day Video Following Singer’s Death – WATCH
Craig Strickland’s wife Helen shared a video on Tuesday of her late husband’s message to her on their wedding day. See the touching footage below.
As Gossip Cop reported, Strickland went missing on December 27 during a duck hunting trip and was found dead near Oklahoma’s Kaw Lake on Monday. The Backroad Anthem singer was killed along with his friend, Chase Morland, when their boat capsized after getting caught out in a winter storm. Helen first paid tribute on Monday to her husband on Instagram, and explained that Strickland’s cause of death was hypothermia.
Now, Helen has posted the private message Strickland recorded for her right before they got married a little more than a year ago. “On the day of our wedding Craig had me watch a video he had made to tell me how much he loved me,” wrote Helen. “I watched this privately prior to walking down the aisle, and so now I want to share this small excerpt with all of you.”
Strickland’s grieving widow added, “Thank you Lord for sharing #craigstrickland with me. You allowed me to borrow him on this earth, but he was always Yours.” She ended her message, “I will forever cherish our year of marriage. This was truly the type of man you were and will always be remembered as. I love you Craig Michael.” Watch Strickland’s wedding day message to his wife below.
