Courteney Cox NOT Being “Urged” To Have Wedding In Hometown, Despite Report
Courteney Cox is not being “urged” to have her wedding in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this rumor. We’re told there’s no truth to it.
According to The National Enquirer, Cox supposedly wants to have her wedding to musician Johnny McDaid in his native of Ireland, but is now being pressured by her family to have it in Birmingham because her mother is too sick to travel. A family member of Cox’s supposedly tells the tabloid, “It would be great if Courteney got married here in Birmingham. Her mother is in a wheelchair or in bed most of the time.” The family member adds, “It would be a strain on her to go anywhere else.”
Of course, this is not the first time Gossip Cop has busted the National Enquirer for manufacturing stories about Cox. In March, Gossip Cop corrected the tabloid for falsely alleging that Matthew Perry was feuding with Jennifer Aniston because Aniston somehow convinced Cox not to make an appearance in Perry’s reboot of “The Odd Couple.” Gossip Cop also corrected the National Enquirer last year for a hilariously false report claiming Aniston and Justin Theroux’s supposed wedding delays was also delaying Cox and McDaid’s nuptial plans.
Even though the National Enquirer has a spotty track record with getting stories right about Cox and McDaid, Gossip Cop reached out to a source close to the couple who tells us the tabloid’s latest tall-tale is “not true.”
