Courteney Cox Did NOT “Use Hypnotism To Win Back” Johnny McDaid, Despite Report
As Gossip Cop recently reported, Cox and McDaid are spending time together again after calling off their engagement last year. Now, according to RadarOnline, their reconciliation is “mostly thanks to the former ‘Friends’ actress getting hypnotherapy!” Seriously.
“Johnny pretty much walked out because Courteney’s agoraphobia was driving him crazy,” a so-called “insider” claims to the outlet. “She never left the house and the rare occasion she couldn’t avoid it was an epic nightmare coaxing her out the door.” The supposed snitch goes on to allege, “Courteney was the first to admit it was a problem, but she decided to finally do something about it when she lost her man.”
And after the hypnotherapy, it’s said Cox “was able to prove to Johnny she’d changed by getting out and about with Jen [Aniston], going shopping and even attending a fundraiser.” The site’s source adds, “Johnny never stayed out of touch with Courteney, and since she’s got her issues under control, they’re now on the fast track to getting their relationship back to how it was.”
But since when is Cox agoraphobic? Gossip Cop couldn’t find anything to suggest the star suffers from the condition. And while RadarOnline attempts to paint her as a shut-in to scared too leave her home, Cox is regularly spotted out by paparazzi and attends Hollywood events. This has been the case for years.
In fact, the webloid even highlighted one of Cox’s public outings earlier this year… and twisted it to claim she was dating former co-star Matt LeBlanc. Gossip Cop exclusively busted that story, and we can now correct this one, too. We’re exclusively told that the bizarre notion Cox underwent hypnotherapy to get back with McDaid is both “ridiculous” and “UNTRUE.”
