WOW, WOW, that’s all I can say, absolutely brilliant, nothing more, Daivd did say in
his interviews, we would see Rob as we have never seen him before, and brother
we have. I just love the scene when he is walking down the alley with the gun,
his swag, just absolutely love him, The clips are getting rave reviews from all
critics, they are all saying the same thing brilliant….Canne’s bound for sure

Been ready for this movie for a long time. Looking forward to seeing the amazing actor that Rob has become. Need to take my better half to this.

There was music in the trailer? After hearing Rob’s voice and then seeing the visuals, I think my ears shut down, they were just overwhelmed by the action. This looks so good! Finally, Rob’s in a real, contemporary film, surrounded by wonderful actors and a superb, experienced director. Doesn’t get better than this!

The excitement about this movie is incredible! I’ glad it’s going to Cannes, because we’ll get more great pics and video of Rob there, but I won’t be surprised if it picks up a US distributor before then. This is just the first teaser. A two minute trailer will kill us all! Love to see Rob with all these strong women and great actresses. He really does his best when he’s surrounded by talent.

Pattinson realizes what Twilight has given him and what it has taken from him. He may not be saying this explicitly but even in promotional tours, etc. he has made it pretty clear what he really thinks about this franchise and the books. I wouldn’t be surprised if the story about him doing it because of Stewart and for the money was true.It seems that a guy like him would not be interested in such a thing for any other reason. All his other movies prove that, I guess. This continuous questions about Twilight must be driving him mad and typecasting him as Edward Cullen simply makes no sense. Move on, people. He has. Have you been reading the reviews for the teaser? They are fantastic; I haven’t read one that isn’t praising Rob and the film. Even Den of Geek likes it, and that’s saying a lot! I’m so thrilled for him.

I know this blog is abou Robert, and the trailer for Cosmopolis is brilliant, and intense, and
I think this movie will finally show the critics the rane he does have. But I have to say
it most be quite hard for Kristen Stewart to be in love with someone that almost every
women in America and across the world would love to get their hands on. Fortunately
Robert Pattinson is so in love with her, that I truly believe that he see’s no other love
for him, and that is why these two are together all of these year, she knows he is
faithful, and would not stray, regardless of some of the crap about him, all unfounded
all tabloid lies. Kudos to the both of them for being as mature they are at such a
young age, and in an industry where couples break up daily and hook up with
someone else the next morning. I believe you will see these two togethr for a
very long time, and Kristen is Rob’s biggest supporter, she has said she believes
he can do anything………..Just Saying, don’t get mad at me…….

As of now, Pattinson is not interested in making commercial movies and he does not have to make them yet.He said himself sth like: there’s no fun in it as CGI does everything for you, etc.He is also tired of everything being PG13 stuff and this is the problem with big American studios. His priorities are different and he has moved smoothly from Twilight to Cronenberg. What’s wrong with playing imperfect guys? Action movies are rubbish for adults, where everybody just has to do what the studio wants. The author of James Bond books said himself he wrote them for 13-year-olds! I’d rather see Robert in small, but good quality movies, than in kids’ stuff.

As evidenced by the great reactions to this trailer by the press, people are excited to see Rob in the Cosmopolis bad boy role because he has been typecast as Edward Cullen. I think this movie will be a wonderful opportunity for Rob to showcase his talent and expand his options for roles. Maybe Rob will take an action role someday.

Je me rappelle à la sortie de WTE les même personnes présentes avaient le même discours que pour cosmopolis ” Edward est fini mort et balayé” pourtant le film n’a pas le succès espéré même chose pour bel ami qui à en jugé est un vrai flop pour toute le cast du film rob en a pris pour son grade même si je pense qu’il joue bien et qu’il fait de trés grands efforts pour y arriver.

c’mon i don’t think anything can be as frightening for their relationship (if any..) as Twilightmania was and is. millions of fans throwing themselves under his legs, tons of letters “Rob, marry me, please”… just remember the song “she wants to be Mrs.Pattinson”. the same goes for Kristen. the adoration, the obsession, the hatred.. they have seen it all. they both seem to be kind of persons that were born mature, all the crap that the fame brought, didn’t go into their heads. so i think if they want to be together they will be..imho:)

There’s plenty of dialog, and the fact that it takes place in one day has nothing to do with the amount of dialog there is in the movie. The movie is not the book, it’s a film based on a script. Only boring people would find that clip boring. You are in the minority. That teaser is slammin, and so is Rob.

I’m seriously impressed. This looks like vintage Cronenberg and Pattinson looks good. Can’t wait to see it.

Me, too! It looks disturbing and beyond sexy. I’m glad Rob took this part, his career is headed in the right direction. Much better to work with a respected director like Cronenberg than a first timer on another teen franchise. He’s making smart choices and adult films, I hope he keeps it up.

If Pattinson is trying to break the Twilight mold, this trailer makes it look like he accomplished his goal. Deciding to work with Cronenberg is the smartest thing he’s done in a long time.

You said it, what’s not to love? Rob looking hotter than ever, sex with multiple partners, guns, riots in the street, mystery, suspense, I can’t wait! Bring it on!

It doesn’t matter what kind of role Rob plays, at least he has more than one expression. He doesn’t blink like a hummingbird or bite his lip, fidget and stutter, or take deep, shuddering breaths before delivering a line of dialog.

He doesn’t play the same character in every movie, he has range, and if there was any doubt, Cosmopolis is going to remove that doubt. Even the fanboys are drooling over this teaser. Rob’s already had the most successful career outside of Twilight, 2 of his films made a profit, something none of his co-stars can say, and his career path is stellar.

Looks like Eric Packer just killed Edward Cullen. Hoooray! I want to see more, now. It looks so gritty and real, so exciting. I’ve been hoping Rob would do this kind of edgy role for a long time and now he has. He has a great career for someone so young.

Working this a director like Cronenberg is exactly what Rob needed to do, and this looks like a total home run. Everybody scores!

This trailer is converting fanboys like crazy. Suddenly Rob is cool, something we’ve known all along. It’s nice to see them hop aboard the Pattinson Express, though. He started getting a male audience with Remember Me, they identified with Tyler’s struggle with his dad, and they liked WFE, too. But this is the film that’s really going to make people look at Rob in a new light. So happy for him!

What a fascinating and freakish teaser, it just makes you want to see more and more of Cronenberg’s genius touch. Serious gnarly violence alert, I love it! Pattinson gets to prove his acting chops and will finally get the fanboys in his corner. It’s about time.

Rob’s been making good movies for awhile now, RM and WFE were both good, and showed some of his range. It’s too bad they drug the Twi franchise out, BD should only have been one movie and then it would all be over by now. This is still a good year for him, with Bel Ami and then Cosmopolis. It’s good to see him branching out.

This looks like a total departure for Pattinson, I’ve never seen him look like this before, but I like it. He should continue to do these more adult roles, it looks like they suit him.

Cannes can’t come soon enough. We might get a 10 minute clip or a longer trailer then. This is the most exciting project Rob has been involved in, ever. His talent knows no bounds.

I remember Rob saying something about feeling like they had him on a leash but this movie shows that the leash is gone, there are no restraints. No limits. Not just the tip. I liked Little Ashes, too. Rob was very convincing as Dali, and that was a risky part. He’s never been afraid to take chances and follow his own counsel. His choices have always been intelligent. I hope Cosmopolis finally brings him to the attention of a bigger male audience, and that would make me laugh because he won’t have to do some dumb comic book movie.

Cosmopolis also won the MTV Movie Brawl, beating TDK, THG, SWATH, everything else. He’s showing up on Best Actor lists for next year’s Oscars already. His future couldn’t be any brighter.

Lol you are delusional. I’m a rob fan just like everyone else but I don’t have these crazy delusions that you seem to have. Bel Ami is getting horrible reviews. It’s not getting any Osars. Cosmpolis is premiering at Cannes but so far we haven’t heard a word about him being on the Oscar list.

My boyfriend saw the trailer and thinks it looks cool, he wants to see it, which is great, because I could never get him to take me to see any of the Twilight movies. He did like Water For Elephants, maybe we’ll be 2 for 2.

If KS and TL have such big fanbases, then why have all their films outside of the franchise been failures? All of KS’s indies are bombs, and Abduction didn’t make enough to show a profit, either.

Both Remember Me and WFE made a profit, and so far Bel Ami is at about 3.5 million, and audiences love it. Stop lying about the reviews, you can read them on Rotten Tomatoes and they are about evenly mixed. Plus they don’t even have enough yet to establish a solid number, they need at least 40 before that can happen and they only have 22.

Evenly mixed and ‘loved it’ are completely different. You can’t have it both ways.

1) On Rotten Tomatoes critics (22 of them) gave Bel Ami 45%. There are five pages of audience reviews. Some fans love it, other hate it. Those reviews are about 50/50. Regardless of the reviews, 86% of people say they will watch the movie.

2) Bel Ami had made just under $3 million internationally. In two months.

It has to make at least double the production cost in order to be profitable. That means it has to make $22 million total. AllThatGlittersIsGold posted on the other thread that Magnolia Pictures was the distributer. Check out their Wikipedia page, they usually distribute small art films. If they do the same with Bel Ami it won’t be in very many theaters. Every actor has indie films that get small distributions. It not necessarily a bad thing.

As for the KS indie movie comments, you have already been given an answer on several KS articles. This is not an article that has anything to do with Kristen. So I will not continue to give you the same answers over and over again. If you can’t remember the answers that you have previously been given then go and take a look at the previous Kristen posts. Yeah too bad Taylor is doing a flick with Adam Sandler. I thought after Abduction bombed he would buckle down but it doesn’t look that way. Rob and Kristen definitely have the best films coming out this year. Especially with both On the Road and Cosmopolis likely to premiere at Cannes. They are each proving their range. Cronenberg is brilliant, and choosing Rob to star in Cosmopolis was a stoke of genius. The two of them should take Cannes by storm, I expect all the buzz to be about them. Last time Rob was there he stole the thunder from Brad and Angelina. He has star power for miles and miles!
