Corey Haim has died.
He was 38.
The 1980s film star died at approximately 2:15 AM PST of an apparent accidental overdose.
Haim reportedly passed out in front of his mom, Judy, who immediately called 911.
Haim was taken from his apartment near Burbank to St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Found not far from Haim were a few bottles of prescription drugs. Over the years, Haim had struggled with an addiction to pills.
The Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation.
There is no official cause of death until an autopsy is completed. Law enforcement currently terms Haim’s death “possibly accidental.”
Haim starred in several movies in the 1980s, including The Lost Boys.
He appeared with fellow teen idol Corey Feldman in the reality series “The Two Coreys” from 2007 to 2008.
