Conrad Bain of Diff’rent Strokes Dead at 89

Conrad Bain of “Diff’rent Strokes” has died.

He was 89.

The actor reportedly passed away in Livermore, California on Monday night.

Bain was best known for playing father figure Phillip Drummond on the popular ’80s sitcom, which also starred Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges.

He is survived by a daughter and three sons.

His daughter Jennifer tells TMZ, “He was an amazing person. He was a lot like Mr. Drummond, but much more interesting in real life. He was an amazing father.”

Bain would have turned 90 on February 4.
