Amidst what has become a public relations nightmare of seismic proportions for Tiger Woods comes word now that Oprah Winfrey has “reached out” to the golf great.

Woods has been on “Oprah” before. On April 30, 1998, Woods, along with his dad Earl, appeared on the top-rated talk show to promote his book, “Playing Through.” Woods even broke down in tears when Winfrey read a letter of advice that Earl had written to his son.

So can we expect to see more waterworks from Woods on “Oprah?”

Possibly. Oprah and company have approached Woods about returning to the show in order to openly address his widely reported extramarital affairs. A rep for Winfrey’s Harpo Productions acknowledged, “We have reached out to Tiger Woods‘ representatives, but nothing is confirmed.”

Gossip Cop would like to know in the comments section if you would watch Tiger Woods in a sitdown interview with Oprah.

I would most definitely watch that as would everyone else in the world. I actually had a feeling she would reach out. The show would be bigger than the Sarah Palin episode. I say Tiger should do it. As an athlete I am still a fan but as a person, I’m a little skeptical. Oprah should also interview Elin. Separately of course.

  • yes i would watch it though no doubt it wouold take years to get screened here in new zealand.
it is quite obvious to me what the deal is so i dont really need to hear Tiger talk about it. i am more interested to hear him talk about it to hear where he is at in his own mind, assuming he would be absolutely truthful on TV, which may be a bit of a hard ask for someone who has been systematically twisting and hiding the truth for soo long.
i think the reality of Tiger woods is 2 fold,
    1. he has an issue with his mother
    2. he never got over his fathers death.
what the issue he has with his mother is we likely wont hear about but i think many will be surprised to finally hear about how his fathers death has haunted him for years and that he has never actually dealt with it properly.
im sure there is a road back for the marriage should both be capable of putting the hard yards in, however it may be easier for both of them and the kids if they simply choose to live apart in a perpetual defacto relationship while each has their own counseling.
