Kelsey Grammer to star in drag show on Broadway

While having his latest TV show, “Hank,” canceled was a drag, Kelsey Grammer has now signed on to star next spring in “La Cage aux Folles” on Broadway.

The original musical, which later became the basis for the film, “The Birdcage,” centers around the relationship between a club owner – to be played by Grammer – and his partner, who is the main attraction of the venue’s drag show.

The show begins on April 18, and don’t be surprised if Grammer walks away with a Tony. When the play debuted in 1983 it won six statuettes.
