Conan O’Brien Says Goodbye

VIDEOThe end is here.
Conan O’Brien‘s final evening as host of “The Tonight Show” has begun.
Monologue, a new “expensive” bit, and a montage of memorable moments opened the show.
Later, Steve Carell came out to conduct O’Brien’s “exit interview” from NBC.
But perhaps the most memorable moment came near the end, when O’Brien took a few minutes to address the camera, and his fans, directly.
It was a touching, sincere moment rarely seen on late night TV. It’s a must watch.
Other details… Backstage the staff wore “Team Conan” T-shirts and the interns wore T-shirts that read, “I’m with CoCo.”
Gossip Cop is told after the show ended, Conan played guitar for the audience and thanked them for having camped out in the rain to see his final show.
After the show was a big party in Universal City, where the Jameson flowed and O’Brien, his 200-plus person staff, Will Ferrell and “30 Rock” star Jack McBrayer were among those partying.
