CLAIM: Drunk Colin Firth Leaves BAFTA at Bar

According to a rapidly spreading rumor, Colin Firth enjoyed his BAFTA win for “The King’s Speech” a little too much over the weekend.

The Daily Star reports that “King of Boozers” Firth “drank so much champagne” at the event, he “left his iconic award on the bar as he staggered off home.”

Firth’s “minder” then allegedly had to run back and get it.

A number of outlets, including PopEater and OK!, picked up the story of the forgotten BAFTA statuette… but forgot to find out whether it was accurate.

A rep for the actor tells Gossip Cop the report is simply “not true.”

In all fairness, it’s not like the Daily Star has a ton of experience taking home trophies.

    Seriously Gossip Cop? You’re trying to be The Gossip Cop, the one to go to for the truth and you take the word of the actor’s rep as the gospel truth???!!!! That’s it???

    I adore C Firth and hope he gets every award going for his performance but come ON you lazy sods. Put some effort into it.

    I agree Gossip Cop only spreads gossip and I love how they say a source close to the person the truth is if you really read the articles a very young or an older person with a low literacy level runs Gossip Cop.
    I hope Colin wins the Oscar and drinks as much as he wants he’s an adult at least he doesn’t show up for photo shots stoned like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. but I would be amazed if Gossip Cop ever exposed any truth about Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart.
