Clark Beckham “Champion” American Idol Finale Video: Watch Performances!
Clark Beckham showed he’s a “Champion” on part one of the “American Idol” season 14 finale on Tuesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Beckham was voted into the 2015 Top 2 along with Nick Fradiani. In order to become this year’s victor, the finalists had to compete in three rounds of competition. For the first, Beckham chose to reprise “Georgia On My Mind,” which Keith Urban said was “amazing.” “You are reminding us why you are here,” Jennifer Lopez told him, with Harry Connick Jr. agreeing that it was a better rendition than his previous one. The judge later said Beckham won the round.
In the second face-off, executive producer Simon Fuller selected Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” for the season-long frontrunner. Beckham did a bluesy version of the R&B classic, after which Connick said he had “guts” to do two slow songs in a row. And Lopez thought Beckham was so in the zone, she was dying to know to which mystery girl he was singing.
For the third and final round, Beckham debuted “Champion,” the song that will be his “winner’s single” if he in fact wins “Idol” tomorrow night. Urban loved that the track was “inspiring,” while Lopez admired his effort. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem to love it as Fradiani’s own single performance.
Check out Beckham’s performances from all three rounds below. Do you want him to win it at all tomorrow night?
