Get out your “Umbrella” – when it rains Rihanna rumors, it pours.

Just days after Gossip Cop shot down reports that Justin Timberlake was cheating on Jessica Biel with the singer, here come new details just as ridiculous, courtesy of The National Enquirer.

“Rihanna secretly called Jessica Biel to say she’s not chasing Justin Timberlake,” whispers the Enquirer.

Really?

Timberlake and Rihanna are collaborating on her new album, but according to the tab’s “source,” Rihanna wanted to personally assure Biel that rumors of Timberlake making a different kind of ‘music’ with her were baseless. So, the tab says, “the leggy singer had her assistant track down Jessica’s cell number from Justin’s assistant last week.”

The “source” says Rihanna “apologized over the ridiculous nonsense that’s been printed.” Um, you mean like this story?

The supermarket tab alleges the “phone call” went well, because Jessica “was touched” and the two women have scheduled a “tentative lunch date.”

Isn’t it great when two people can clear the air and settle something … that was never unsettled in the first place? Look – Rihanna and Timberlake aren’t together and haven’t been together, and Biel never expressed any concern that they were.

For the record, a rep for Rihanna tells Gossip Cop the phone call rumor is phony.
